Nov Update

Hello, everyone!

We had a great time in the US in August and September – we visited six churches and lots of friends. It was especially fun to be with the Flaherty family – 1 niece and 4 nephews with one on the way.

Jonathan’s Family Transition

We arrived home on October 2, where we were met with a surprise: Jonathan and Anastasiya (Josh’s brother and wife) and their four kids have decided to participate in a church planting project with their home church in Alaska, so we arrived back from the States just in time to find them packed up and having moved their personal things to their new house, which is on a separate property in the same neighborhood.

They’ve been building it for seven years, so it’s a big milestone that it is finally finished enough to have their things in it. We are sad to see them go, but rooting for them in their new adventure with the Lord. They think they’ll be gone for two years this time.

They left us with an amazing blessing and answer to prayer: the use of a truck and four-wheeler, which makes the fact that we couldn’t bring our new car over from the US not important, after all. Now we will have a vehicle to use in the US and what we need over here!

Forge Moves On To Module 2

Josh has now done the basic survival Module 1 course six times, I believe, and coming up on November 14-18, Module 2 is launching for the first time. 7 students and 4 or 5 staff will be on the field this time, one even flying in from Colombia because he loved Mod 1 so much and hopes to have a chapter in Colombia someday. The topics this time: Radio Communication, Land Navigation, and Advanced First Aid. We are excited to grow into this next phase as the brotherhood continues to grow.
